IELTS general vs academic
IELTS Academic is for an individual, who is seeking a career opportunity which may be related to education and for admission purposes in English speaking countries. It comprises 4 levels.
IELTS General is for an individual, who is seeking employment, Visa or for immigration purposes in English speaking countries.
The IELTS exam comprises 4 levels.

IELTS Listening:
Test Format: The test taker is provided with the recording and he must give it a conscious ear. The understanding of a question matters a lot here. It includes conversation, monologues and dialogues.
Question Type: Within each section, there are various question types that test-takers need to answer. These can include multiple-choice, matching, labeling maps or diagrams, and completing sentences or summaries.
Timing : 30 mins total.
Answer sheet: The test taker is assigned with a sheet to mark MCQ answers based on recordings.
Scoring: The listening scores are marked from a total of 9 Marks.
